Academic Boot Camp by Dr. Gary North

This 42-lesson course helps students to raise their grades. This includes students who attend a bricks-and-mortar school. Think of this course as an academic life preserver. But it is far more than a life preserver. Any student who enters high school in grade 9 without a mastery of the study skills I cover in this course is not going to maximize the next four years of formal education. These are the crucial years for mastering the skills of self-teaching. College will be nothing new for any student who masters these skills by age 15. Mathematics 8: Algebra 1 by Dr. Benjamin Richards

Grade 8 mathematics is a first year algebra course which provides you with the necessary mathematical skills to succeed in advanced high school mathematics. You learn to be both comfortable with advanced abstract concepts and proficient in applying those concepts to real-world problems. In 8th grade, you will master the fundamentals of algebra including variables, factoring, functions, linear, quadratic and polynomial equations, graphing functions and inequalities, powers, roots and radicals, logarithms, algebraic fractions, and solutions to multiple equations. You’ll also be introduced to fundamental geometrical concepts such as coordinate geometry, simple proofs and basic trigonometry. Realistic problems provide you with proficiency in applying algebraic and geometric concepts. After successfully completing 8th grade mathematics, you will have a solid mathematical foundation and be prepared to start Algebra II or Geometry and Trigonometry in high school.
