Homechooling parents may initially be concerned about their children’s academic futures. Will colleges discriminate against them? The evidence indicates that they won’t.

These days, fewer students are enrolling in college. This is true this year: the third year in a row. Click to read article.  This puts pressure on all but the top four dozen schools out of 4,000 to accept students.

Second, there was no discrimination before this downturn. If anything, homeschool students have had an advantage. This article explains why.

If your children learn to teach themselves, they will not be blindsided in college in the first two years. In these years, the student-teacher ratio shoots up. Students are thrown into the deep end of the academic pool to see which ones sink or swim. Self-taught students swim.
